Goodbye Fan Expo – Day 3 Journal
Last night I was up until 4 am editing the 100s of cosplay photos we took for all the people we met at the event. It was tiring but cool to relive the moments at the show but that is also the reason why this post is a little late. I’ve lived in Toronto my whole life and never knew that the community could be so cool. Sega fans unite!
The Sega Community is one of the best and Sega had the only booth with a representative that knew something about the games. RubyEclipse by the way – is an awesome guy…we should all be happy that Sega has recruited true fans and gamers into company.
Here is a cellphone picture of the titles we added to our seemingly endless pile Sega games to review from the Toronto FanExpo:
We have series of video interviews that are being edited as we speak. I asked Sega some tough questions and they were cool enough to answer. This cut into our review schedule a little bit so…if you requested a review we didn’t forget you, in fact that Primal Rage footage has been captured. I just can’t seem to pull off any finishing moves especially Chaos’ Golden Shower.
Doing the interview was a neat experience. This was our first time ever doing anything like this so please excuse the quality; we’re committed to doing our best and being hardcore until the bitter end. However, we have to start somewhere. Your support will take us far!
I felt like Geoff Keighley during the interviews which was kind of cool and I have to learn to stop waving my arms around so much. If you imagined me looking different, I’m sorry; but I am what I am…and that is Fresh.
Other things we learned: bring 2 Mics, get a tripod, and watch out for Ninjas! Seriously. Check out the blooper below:
Hopefully, one day we will make it to E3, that has been a dream of mine for some time and I don’t want to just go as a fan…I want to go and get the inside scoop! The Toronto FanExpo was a blast. The days were long and we spent many hours standing and walking around. It was tough to keep up the pace without a quick catnap.
One cool moment occurred when people started asking me Sega questions as if I was the representative. I answered as best I could – which was usually pretty well, but when I couldn’t – I pointed them over to RubyEclipse. The image below is of Crunk doing some posing with the locals around the booth.
If you are wondering we are always looking for more help; so if you love Sega and like to be posted here – contact us! It wouldn’t have to be a lot of work even story tips and comments help.
We do it all for the love of SEGA gaming. We don’t really make any money but we wouldn’t mind if we did. We have a forum and a game database coming soon. We are in bug testing and things always take a thousand longer than they should.
We tried our best at the FanExpo and you can look forward to the “State of Sega” interview videos over the week…some might be exclusive to the site and others might be posted on Youtube.
