Football Manager 2010 Dated for October 30th
It’s a really slow SEGA news day…which is good because that gives me time to start cranking out reviews, work on the archive, and continue testing the forum. If you’ve heard some juicy tidbits that we’ve missed drop us a line on the contact page and we’ll look into it.
Sports Interactive and SEGA of America issued a press release last night confirming the launch date for Football Manager 2010 on the PSP, PC, and Apple computers. The 2009 edition sold over a million copies worldwide and gamers invested on average 240 hours into the title.
The new entry into the simulation series boasts a major overhaul to the features in the first game as the developers took fan suggestion into account when crafting the title:
“We have worked very hard with the Football Manager community to target not only the areas of the game that needed re-working but also what we could add to improve what’s already there. We’ve also conducted extensive usability studies which has led us to overhaul the whole presentation of the game, which we’re really excited about,” said Miles Jacobson, Studio Director at Sports Interactive. “There has been a lot of polish to existing areas of the game but it’s also driven us to introduce changes to answer some of the feedback. We’re very confident that having done that we will deliver the very best Football Manager to date in October.”
I’m shocked at the dedication of Football/Soccer fans. No wonder Sports games are such big business. You can read the full press release here.
