According to Joystiq, Bayonetta fans in Japan have been complaining about the lengthy load times on the PS3 edition of the title. Level load times have been reported to be as long as 25 seconds and in game loading as long as 5 seconds.

This would certainly break the flow of the speedy title.

However, a Sega Customer Support Agent has come out and said on the Platinum Game’s forum that a patch is under consideration:

“I can, in fact, speak on their behalf in saying that a patch to correct this issue is under consideration through development to address the matter of the overwhelming load times with Bayonetta. Something I cannot address directly is when this will occur however I will be tracking this directly on all sides (the Japanese, North American, and European versions) as to ensure that we know exactly the status of each one. Provided that I am given full disclosure on this, I will be sure to keep you posted on what to expect.”

I certainly hope that the problem will be addressed before the title launches to Europe and North America. I’d hate to see anyone short changed on this stellar title.
