While there are minor flaws in the AvP demo it certainly has not failed to capture gamers’s interest. The multiplayer death match presents unique online play that is  both unique and fresh. There have been 14000 downloads of the demo on Xbox 360 and it currently holds a 4.5/5 rating.

Senior Producer David Brickley of Rebellion told CVG that: “Just looking at how the demo’s been rated on Xbox Live tells its own story – 14,000 downloads in a few days and an approval rating of 4.5/5, we’re absolutely delighted with the response…they see what we’ve done is deliver something genuinely new and fresh, a real reason to stop playing what they are currently, and we just can’t have asked for more than that – and they’ve only seen one mode.”

PC users can now get a patch for the demo however PS3 users still have to wait while a patch is constructed with the aid of Sony Engineers.  Brickley has apologized to Ps3 users stating:

“I understand why people question how it wasn’t spotted sooner but we just can’t replicate that kind of scale in normal testing...had we left Create and Browse Games in there as with the full game the problem wouldn’t have been so serious.”

Hopefully, Ps3 owners won’t be held back from testing the Aliens Vs. Predator gameplay too much longer. SEGAbits has a scan of a particular poor review score of the title by Game Informer.
