SEGA Sponsors Japanese Gangster Cinema Lecture Event
SEGA of America has sponsored a film event at Viz Cinema in San Francisco to promote Yakuza 3 as well as educate eager movie fans and game fans on the celluloid genre of Japanese Gangstar films.
Tickets to the TokyoScope: The Wild & Crazy World of Japanese Cult Films are $10 and the event kicks off on Friday, March 5th in which “TokyoScope, Vol.1 Yakuza Night Fever begins at 6:00pm with a reception and discussion to be hosted by Patrick Macias, Editor-in-Chief of Otaku USA, a leading national magazine on anime and Asian pop culture.”
The event will feature:
- Live Sneak Preview and highlights of Yakuza 3
- A chance to score free copies of the game
- Macias’ 1-hour long lectures featuring clips from Brutal Tales of Chivalry, Battles Without Honor and Humanity, Dead or Alive, and Like a Dragon
Sounds like a fun and informative night. I’m sure the SEGA Blogs will detail the event soon enough but you can check out the Anime News Network for more information.
