SegaShiro: Pure SEGA HARDCORE! The Sega Saturn Archive / Sega Dreamcast / Sega Archive

Silpheed was on of the first games I owned on the SEGA CD  and a thousand times better than Sewer Shark.

It was a fun isometric shooter with great style and memorable music. It is nice to see that the awesome design for the ship is still alive and well as the model makers at PLUM are launching 1/100 scale model of the classic and cult favorite ship.

PLUM is currently working on several ships from classic shooters as a part of their SFG series of products. The model will be out in May in Japan and cost approximately $60 (¥5,460). Hit the jump for the gallery:

The team has done a great job with model. Regular import Hobby shops should have the ship available for pre-order.
