Virtual On Force Getting Special Edition Treatment in Japan
SEGA of Japan has announced the release date of Virtual On Force in Japan and it is blasting onto the Xbox 360 on December 22, 2010 at the 6090 yen price point (approx. $66).
However, there is an epic sounding limited edition arriving for the release called the “Virtual On Force Memorial Box 15″ and it featuresĀ a 6 disc music soundtrack covering all 4 entries into the series. Wow.
The special edition will also feature an art book and the cover art by Hajime Katoki who designed the cover of Oratorio Tangram on the Dreamcast.
However, the limited edition adds 4000 yen to the price and clocks in at 10290 yen (US$112). The official Virtual On blog has more information but it is in Japanese: here.
In semi-related news, my attempts to purchase an ultra expensive set of Hori Twin Sticks were twarted when Tenso.com could not purchase the item for me because the pre-order page does not accept credit cards. Dammit!

Wonder if it’ll hit the West
I hope so…but it is not hard to imagine that it would be an XBLA release.
no I don’t think it would come as XBLA. I think we will see it about March in stores.
No credit cards? what DO they accept?
I would love a boxed copy but I want the twinsticks too!
@DarrenIndeed – It is because it is simply a pre-order page at this point. You contact them to let them know you want it but you don’t pay until they are closer to shipping.
ah…
