GoNintendo has posted some pictures of Sonic Colors and one looks particularly strange. What is exactly going on in this strange picture above with two bars and two ring counters and two Sonics? Is it (cue stylish suspense laden music) a two player mode in Sonic Colors?
Perhaps…nobody is certain at this point but many are speculating. As for throwing completely random suggestions into the pot…I’m going to say that this picture is depicting Sonic racing NEGA-Sonic in grey Lego zone.

At first I thought they gave the red Sonic Knuckles’s shoes but now I see that it’s just a straight up recolor. I hope that red Sonic is just a placeholder and that they’ll at least put Tails if they’re going for multiplayer.
I wonder if is a bonus level where Sonic needs to fight his own mind.
