Edge Magazine has recently posted an article that discusses Team Ninja and their new direction sans-Tomonobu Itagaki. The new boss Hayashi is quite keen on developing a cross-over title and would love to pair his franchise with Virtua Fighter. He stated:
“In terms of collaboration titles, there are staff on our team who just love fighting games and if there was any chance to do that we’d actively, possibly do that. The first 3D game I played was Virtua Fighter, that’s the IP I respect most. Virtua Fighter was the father of 3D gaming, so it’s very well respected.”
I can’t quit smiling! How wicked would that collaboration be? Here is to hoping that the two companies can make something happen.
Also, if you have a 3DS and are looking at fighter I can you tell honestly that Dead or Alive Dimensions beats Street Fighter IV 3DS hands down.
