A huge lot of assorted Sonic Color screens (out of Japan) hit the web today and while some it is not new – it is all very clean. There are over 50 screens in the gallery across the DS and the Wii version.

I’ve finally got down to playing Sonic and the Black Knight and while the game itself has me scratching my head the graphics are very pretty.

I am hoping that the team is going to craft an excellent Sonic title that while targeted to kids can still be enjoyed by everyone.

Oh yeah! I can’t wait for the internet to be flooded with pictures of cute kittens, pretty puppies, little children, and foxy ladies (I can dream can’t I – hmm, maybe I can craft a contest?) all wearing this potentially adorable Sonic hat (it is also has the potential to be equally frightening).

Currently this is an added bonus/hook for Sonic fans to pre-purchase the upcoming title on the DS and Wii at Gamestop in the USA.

If we are to use history as an example, pre-purchasing a Sonic title is always a roll of the dice but Sonic Colors does seem more promising and the “gimmicks” seem more in line with the direction of the series.
