This is a very technical trailer about a game that features chibi characters. It will be a cold day in hell when a title like this is released in North America.

Frigging Nintendo for region-locking a portable! Anyway, I wish I could explain what is going but to hazard I guess- i bet they are explaining how they managed to get all the characters to sing each of the songs. Unlike previous versions of Project Diva – Mirai will feature the voice of whatever character you are using at the time in the songs.

The game comes to the 3DS in Japan on March 8. a standard version costs ¥6,090 ($US79) and a limited edition will hurt your wallet for ¥7,140 (US$91) but it comes with a figure.

10 points for the dude’s hair in the trailer. Seriously, 10 points! I dig it.

SEGA of Japan’s sequel to Black Panther has been officially dated for March 22 of 2012 (the same month we in the West get Dead Souls). The game is currently has a ¥6,279 (US$80) price point for retail and ¥5,600 (US$71) for the downloadable version.

The story continues the saga of Ukyou Tatsuya who has come back to Japan from a stint in the states and dreams of becoming a boxing champion. Once again the partner system returns – allowing gamers to recruit members to fight alongside of them.

SEGA has also released information on all of the idols in the game. There are seven hostesses in total. The can be found in the game’s locations of Kamurocho and Sotenbori.  Three of the seven come from a Japanese Idol group aptly titled: Idoling!!! The slideshow features screens of the hostesses and a few action sequences. The graphics seem mighty good for a PSP title. ‘

SEGA of Japan have released a video of a new song for Hatsune Miku: Project Mirai entitled ” Sing & Smile.” Also, the company has unveiled a variety of cheerleader costumes for the various Vocaloids.

SEGA is teasing a new Project Diva title for 2012 outside of Project Mirai. I am going to guess it will be for PSVita with the enhanced graphics but one can’t count the PSP in Japan – yet. Read the rest of this entry »

OMG. It’s BINGO time! Worth watching just for the announcer. This is one of those gambling games that nets SEGA bank. As long as I get my Binary Domain and Yakuza titles…Japan can keep these ones.

Though it is very, very shiny.

The announcer is a little too excited but the game does look quite nice. In fact, it looks very close to the PS3 version. The additional touch controls look fun too. However, I can’t wait for SEGA to show up to the Vita party with a new IP or a more “core” experience.  Read the rest of this entry »
