SEGA’s Monkey Ball Gets an Adult Twist

SEGA of Japan is gleefully showing off their level editor in the next Monkey Ball title in Japan by displaying it’s ability to incorporate boobs into the mix.

I-kid-you-not. Andriasang.com writes:

“Sega announced today that the first print run of Super Monkey Ball Banana Splitz will include a product code for an ‘adult map.’ The ‘adult map’ is themed around Yukie Kawamura, the gravure model who appeared in a recent Monkey Ball promotional video that lacked game footage but had lots and lots of Yukie… bending herself into strange shapes.”

Yup, as if the world of portable game devices didn’t already have enough dorks and bongos – it’s now going to get a whole bunch more. Read the rest of this entry »

Total War Battles: Shogun – Launch Trailer

Wait…what’s this? A Total War game I might actually be able to run (the sad fact is…I bought a new laptop only months ago and the games wouldn’t run)! The game’s storyline features and young samurai on his quest to avenge his father.

Total War Battles: Shogun is a strategy game designed specifically for mobile platforms with a multi-touch interface. It features 15 hours of gameplay across 27 core missions and 18 side quests. Gamers can also dig into a multi-player mode that only requires one device.

Total War Battles: Shogun for iPhone and iPad hits the iTunes App Store today at $6.99/ £4.99/ €5.49. An android version is slated to be released.

I just got to figure out where I put my iPod and I’ll be all over trying this one out.

Next Hatsune Miku Project Diva Trailer

Hopefully the next Miku title will actually come to retail as opposed to it only being available digitally because it will the first title I import.

SEGA has announced and released the first trailer of the Next Miku game and it is heading to both the PS3 and PSVita.

The gameplay remains the same with some added touch screen features on the portable edition.

Hopefully, the PS3 edition comes equipped with 3D support like the last Dreamy Theater.

“The game is being developed by the staff that worked on the PSP and arcade Hatsune Miku games. A release is planned for Vita this summer and PS3 in 2013. Sinobi’s report isn’t clear on if the two games will have any differences.”

The game began development prior to Project Diva 2 Extend Edition.

Project X Zone is the SEGA/Namco/Capcom Crossover Title!

It is pretty much as I thought it was the new 3DS title that mashes up characters from SEGA’s roster with those of Namco and Capcom is an SRPG.

So what does this mean? It means that while Japan is getting it later this year but we might never get it. Adding further fire to the pontential of the West not recieving the title is the fact that the character roster includes Kurt and Riela from Valkyria Chronicles III and other characters from Sakura Wars.

The full character roster (barring any secret characters) is as follows: Read the rest of this entry »

Sonic 2 HD Fan Remake Alpha is Very Pretty and Comes Equipped with the Physics You Love! [Update: Don't Download it]

I would’ve posted about this sooner but I was so stunned by how pretty it looked that I was caught like a deer in headlights. The game features redrawn art to better match the Japanese concept art and the higher animation quality. Furthermore, there are Sonic 3-like transitions for the acts.

I’m not sure why this game isn’t being scooped up by SEGA to be re-sold to us. Hopefully, it just won’t be killed. The download has been pulled due to a keylogger found in the software. If you have downloaded it – check these instructions from Sonic Retro:

“[W]e are strongly advising that the software be removed. You will need to delete the files included with the Sonic 2 HD zip, as well as the registry keys hooked at HKEY_CURRENT_USER/Software/NakaSMK (if you are unfamiliar on how to do this, go to Start->Run.., type regedit, follow the folder path, and then delete the NakaSMK folder.”

If you want to play as Tails, complete Act2 with Sonic and at the title screen press B+START. Check out the Devblog: here. My antivirus solution wouldn’t let me even install the program last night – sources say that the keylogger wasn’t broadcasting.
