Total War Shogun 2 Fall Of The Samurai Story

Another day, another Total War game I wish I could play. The only Total War game I think I can run on my laptop is Total War Rome. Maybe. The little machine I bought last week didn’t seem to like the demo of Napoleon at all. If you are a console gamer like me…all I can say is that it sure looks awesome.

The expansion to Shogun 2 is falling in March.

Sonic CD Launch Trailer [Updated]

It is kinda funny writing the words Launch Trailer for a game I played in 1996 (on the SEGA CD no less) but it is still way past cool.

What isn’t so cool is that I’m not sure if the game is actually landed on the networks yet.

[Update] SEGA has clarified the launch dates:

XBLA – December 14, 2011 (400 MSP)

PSN – December 14, 2011 in Europe, December 20, 2011 in North America ($5.00 / £3.59/ €4.49 / AUD$6.25)

iOS (iPhone, iPod Touch, iPad) – December 14, 2011 ($4.99/ € 3.99/£2.99/AUD$5.49)

Android – Early 2012

Windows Phone – Early 2012

PC – date coming soon!

Total War Shogun 2 – Fall of the Samurai Trailer

SEGA announced a standalone expansion to the popular Total War series for March of 2012. THis means the series will be getting a fresh campaign and a tweaked multiplayer experience.

“New on the scene will be America, Britain and France, whose arrival incites a ferocious civil war to decide the fate of the nation. You’ll be able to play one of six new playable clans, supporting either the Imperial throne or the last Shogunate. In Fall of the Samurai, we’ll be supporting features like railway networks, ironclad warships, improved siege battle mechanics (with upgradable tower defenses, each with their own specialty).

Right now, a PC gamer is grinning ear-to-ear and taunting a console gamer. Check out more information: here.

SEGA Acquires Three Rings [Hehehehe - Not Sonic Rings]

The folks behind SEGA must’ve been mighty impressed with developer Three Rings during the launch of Spiral Knights because the company has acquired the formerly independent developer.

According to Three Rings, SEGA will collaborating with the BBC and the developer to craft Dr. Who: Worlds in Time – a MMO that runs on Flash.

Here’s what Three Rings had to say about the development:

“Three Rings will continue to operate as a self-contained development studio inside the SEGA family and will continue to be managed by myself and my colleague Tom Schofield. Our talented crew are excited to be joining SEGA; we all foresee years of great collaborations ahead. Again, no changes to our current development plans have been made, and we of course hope to announce more exciting projects in the future in partnership with SEGA.”

SEGA seems quite happy with the development team, check out the full press release after the jump: Read the rest of this entry »
