Around the Web: Siliconera Playtest of Valkyria Chronicles 2 – “SEGA FAN SERVICE”
Valkyria Chronicles 2 is off to a great start earning high scores from many venues. The team at Siliconera did a nice little write-up describing the way SEGA crammed a full scale Valkyria offering for commuters.
“The way Sega scaled down Valkyria Chronicles is impressive. Valkyria Chronicles IIuses the same innovative BLiTZ system with more options for unit and tank customization. Missions are commuter-sized bites of a 30-40 hour game. And there’s plenty of fanservice. Not just Valkyria Chronicles fanservice, Sega fanservice.”

Shining Hearts Delayed in Japan, “Improved Quality” Cited as Reason
SEGA’s next entry into the Shining series won’t be going head-to-head with the next installment of Monster Hunter Tri…rather it will be delayed from December 2nd to December 16th.
The website cites that the time will be used to improve the quality of the title…but it seems to be a savvy business decision as well.
Monster Hunter in Japan is likely to sell incredibly well cannibalizing all other titles during its launch phase.

Valkyria Chronicles 2 Community BLiTZ, Day X – Level Up at Lanseal
The Valkyria Chronicles Community BLiTZ continues with some detailed information on the way to augment your characters and squad classes through training. RubyExclipse writes:
“Like the first game, you level up units based on class. Scouts, shocktroopers, etc – the only new thing worth noting is that leveling up a class also levels up all advanced types of this class, meaning that leveling up scouts does in fact still give boosts to your snipers, or that leveling up Armored Techs will also make your Fencers even stronger.”
