At the recent  Akihabara Game Festa in Japan, SEGA held a fan briefing and showed off the opening movie to Phantasy Star Online 2. It is quite stunning.

SEGA has already dropped the DLC vehicles late last week for people that pre-ordered the title on PSN back in the summer. Now, everyone else can pick up the “Vehicle Reinforcement Pack” for $2.99/£1.99/€2.49/ AUD$3.45 for PlayStation Network, and 240MSP for Xbox LIVE Arcade.

I’ll have some video up of the new cars in the coming days. On top of that, Renegade Ops is currently on sale on XBLA for 600 MS Points.

Finally, there are some new levels heading our way! The Coldstrike campaign will add three new missions plus new enemy types. The Coldstrike Campaign “will be priced at $4.99/£3.59/€4.49/AUD$6.25 for PlayStation Network, and 400MSP for Xbox LIVE Arcade.”

Everything is this trailer makes we wish that I was playing it over the holidays. The game is heading our way in March and will be bringing new controls with it. Spring breaks with zombie killing. I like it!

It is kinda funny writing the words Launch Trailer for a game I played in 1996 (on the SEGA CD no less) but it is still way past cool.

What isn’t so cool is that I’m not sure if the game is actually landed on the networks yet.

The announcer is a little too excited but the game does look quite nice. In fact, it looks very close to the PS3 version. The additional touch controls look fun too. However, I can’t wait for SEGA to show up to the Vita party with a new IP or a more “core” experience.  Read the rest of this entry »

This music better be a part of the update that iOS version got a couple of weeks ago. I need some more music in Samurai Bloodshow beyond the old woman.
