SEGA is going full force with their music game adaptation of K-ON! and are showing off the sticker skin set for people that choose to pre-order the game. Not a bad little score for fans of the anime.

The legend Shinji Mikami has done interview with Gamasutra and it is really quite interesting and worth a read.

Interestingly, the design of the main character and art was inspired from the Casshern Anime though it looks shockingly the Casshern live action film. We doubled up some youtube after the jump for you to draw a comparison. Mikami stated:

_{“I do think the visuals lean more towards a Western style, but the original inspiration was from Casshern, a Japanese animated show, and a lot of the game’s taste comes from that.”}

The title has a Japanese flavor that caters strongly to the West. I think Platinum Games have taken the anime influence and extended nicely with a Western gun-slinging slant: Read the rest of this entry »

If you dig the tunes of the Project Diva enjoy this next set. With Dreamy Theater already released and with arcade goers receiving a version of the anime pop darling as well (heck, even politicians are banking on Miku)…we can all effectively look forward to the upcoming Project Diva 2.

The songs are all featured in the upcoming game and the showcased songs are Colorful X Melody, Yellow, and Hey There Baby.

I would be lying if I said I wasn’t excited by High Moon’s upcoming Transformer title. I love that it is unattached to any sort of movie and takes place before film continuity.

This clip above had me laughing…female versions of Decepticons dancing with Pom-Poms? I dunno it just works.
