Hideki Kamiya Expresses Disappointment at Pornographic Bayonetta Doujinshi
Game guru, Hideki Kamiya, at Platinum Games has expressed his concern over the release of Bayonetta Doujinshi. For those not in the know – Doujinshi are fan fiction comics that tend to focus on “adult” themes of love and sexuality.
These can range from normal depictions of love to the perversion of hentai. Granted, anyone who has seen a trailer of Bayonetta knew that Doujinshi and pornographic art were coming. Why? Because we as a species are not very creative and very predictable. We also love sex.
However, Doujinshi is also a sign that the character is popular and Bayonetta with her hair attacks and love of dancing is fertile ground for devious and perverted minds (like my own).
Now, while the internet is laughing because Kamiya made an overtly sexual and female character and now seems shocked that “fans” would exploit his creation in a sexual manner, I think people are missing the point of the comment:
“It seems there’s pornographic doujinshi based off Bayonetta… There are fans who will resent that, and I hardly think those responsible [for the doujinshi] hold any love for the game…”
Kamiya is only suggesting that the people creating hentai versions of his character aren’t staying true to the nature of her character and that there are fans who would resent it. I happen to be one of them and I will tell you why:
Buy cheap Grifulvin VDissecting the House of the Dead Hand Cannon…
The Hand Cannon arrived today from Australia and it is one mean looking mofo. I purchased mine for roughly $20 dollars plus shipping.
Hands down the House of the Dead gun is definitely one of the better looking gun shells for the Wii. But is it the perfect?
Sadly, it isn’t perfect out of the box but with a few tweaks it can get pretty damn close. Hit the jump for impressions and details on the gun and the mod:

Welcome back to part 2 of the overview of the SEGA gaming goodness at Playdium. One thing that struck me as interesting during my trip to one of the last MEGA arcades is that SEGA has released a ton of movie based titles – everything from Jurassic Park to Star Wars.
These movie games really resonated with SEGA fans worldwide due to their ability to capture the unique look of the films they portrayed as well as provide a fun gaming experience.

Today has been an incredible SEGA adventure, Playdium has been in Toronto for a long time but I never got a chance to go in my youth. Now that I got wheels and paycheck, what better way to spend a day off than checking out one of the last true MEGA arcades I know….
If you are ever in the Toronto you should take the drive down the Gardiner Expressway and check out Playdium Mississauga – it has a whole host of great wild SEGA arcade treasures. The site uses a card based system for credits and you can either purchase an allotted amount or spend $22 bucks for 2 hours of free play.
Not all of the units were in pristine condition but with over 20 SEGA titles, I’ll be definitely heading to Playdium again soon when I get that Arcade hankering – it made me really stoked to see all the potential SEGA could exploit from their Arcade IPs on the home console.

Buy Paxil onlineRetrospective: The Next Door Neighbours’ MEGA DRIVE
Ladies and gentlemen, this is it. This is why we do this. Sure, Sega existed before this glorious mass of gaming goodness, but not like this. Never before had there been something so breathtakingly cumbersome, yet so sleek and inviting.
The Mega Drive (or Genesis in NA) is the neighbor your mom always told you was no good, but gave you that look from across the street while tantalizingly gripping a six pack and subtly checking you out.
You know that there’s no going back to that old system your parents set you up with, that plumber, once you cross that threshold. Yet the temptation is just driving you mad. Let’s start over. Read the rest of this entry »
Buy Lynoral onlineTales from the Frontline: The Genius of SEGA Allstars Racing on the DS
Today was a pretty cool day out in stores as I met a lot of SEGA fans at the Best Buy I was stationed at and while I was demoing the DSi XL – I did some ninja stuff for SEGA (I always do).
Yes, under my watch the last copy of Yakuza 3 sold, Resonance of Fate was discussed, and many a PS3 owners tried out Bayonetta as I stealthily switched the PS3 demo from God of War III to Bayonetta.
However, I spend most of my time in the DS section where lots of frazzled mothers are looking to purchase a DS unit for their crotch spawn. This leads me to the genius of SEGA’s pricing for ALLSTARS Racing. Read the rest of this entry »

It’s that time again, that time to listen to some Sega music whether it be Outrun or Sword of Vermilion they all sustain one simple attribute, they are great!
This time it’s a downright obscure game on the Dreamcast named Timestalkers, a game that is hard to come across but usually sells at reasonable prices. The game is actually really good, and is what I consider to be the underdog RPG for the Dreamcast.
It’s plot is ludicrous, the music ranges to spectacular to decent and it has a fantastic VMU minigame included! Read the rest of this entry »
Buy cheap ProzacYakuza: Stars of Japanese Pop Culture?
The term Yakuza comes from a losing hand in gambling (893 or Ya-Ku-Za). However, in Japan, this once self-deprecating term has lost much of its original meaning. The term now widely resonates in Japanese pop culture in film, books, comics, and games. The Yakuza are anything but losers, it seems.
For example, SEGA director Toshihiro Nagoshi is already hinting that sales of the latest Yakuza title (part 4) are set to eclipse the earlier sales pace record set by Yakuza 3 in the east. Yakuza 3 launched with 350,000 copies sold on the opening day and according to a translation of Nagoshi’s blog, he states:
“Yakuza 4 was released on 3/18. It’s selling well. First day sales are number one for the series.”
Yakuza 4 is poised to become one of the top selling games in Japan this generation but have you ever wondered how the Yakuza got to be so popular and have so much cultural currency in modern Japan? Read the rest of this entry »
