A nice mini-retrospective on Sonic music. This is a bit off-topic  but I wish more people had respect for video game music. I’ve been listening to the tunes from Sonic and Zelda and they are just great examples of musical composition.

First of all you gotta check out this chilling remix with a sample of “Getufu” from Shinobi III: Return of the Ninja Master. After you sampled the sweet sounds hit up the SEGA Blogs for a solid read on the Saturn and PS2 iterations of Shinobi.

In terms of the 3DS entry into the series, I was tempted to purchase a copy of Nintendo Power today for a the pull out poster advertising Shinobi. It shows you how to craft paper ninja stars and dress up like a ninja. I now know what I will be for Halloween next year!

For longtime readers of all things ‘SHIRO than you may know that Crunk is off in China – Beijing to be exact – to learn the language and eat some Dim Sum.

Anyway, he felt the need to tell me that the local bakery/cafe he frequents always has Miku Hatsune’s version of Ievan Polkka playing. My response? F–KING AWESOME.

For anyone who remembers using these types of discs – this is probably simultaneously the most genius and useless way to use them. I 100% approve!
