He’s so happy and energetic!

There is a huge range of Sonic-based content that has just landed on digital download services for PC. Above and below you will see a Metal Sonic costume and Tails’ Tails accessory for Spiral Knights, a game I don’t play nearly enough. How do you get them? Well, you buy the PC version of Sonic CD (also just released) before February 1st!

Hatsune Miku has been a part of the Google Chrome campaign from the beginning as her theme was the first one I ever downloaded back when the browser was first introduced. Now that the browser is getting quite popular the TV ads are featuring (so-called) stars like Lady Gaga and Justin Bieber.

Japan however gets Hatsune Miku…and that is just awesome. I can’t think of a better pop icon to promote the web.

The internet definitely shares some similarities with the wild west but the free trade of opinion and ideas is something worth saving. I haven’t had the time to fully grasp the full ramifications but the video above does a good job as a primer.

If you are in Canada, like me, and are thinking what the heck does it have to do with me? Check out this tidbit from the CBC:

I don’t advocate piracy but this potentially very scary. For example, we could be “shut down” for running video reviews or streaming live gameplay content.

There is a new Sonic fan comic inbound and it will debut in February. The series is already set to span across 22 issues in its first saga and will cover Sonic’s classic era and games.

_{“This web comic will be a very light read, each issue 4-5 pages in length. The characters will not do much talking at all as the comic will rely mainly on the pictures to tell the story. Eggman will be the only character with longer talking points.”}

The ultimate goal of the series is to eventually create an anime based on the sagas and stories of the series. You can check out the facebook page and the web portal to find out more.

According to Andriasang, Nagoshi-san is saying here that he wants all men living in the now to play this game. I would love to. Just give us a localisation, please!

TRiPPY of NiGHTS fame shared this video recently on Twitter, and it is AMAZING. This video was filmed at E3 2000, and features a lady dressed as Ulala dancing on stage in a sort of live-action Space Channel 5 stage show. Do watch it all! It’s worth your time.
