A facebook event has started two months before Sonic’s next birthday and it asks fans to spend the day running “as much as they can and as fast as they can everywhere you go. The use of catchphrases is acceptable and wearing blue is a plus.”

Check out the facebook page: here. The group is looking to get a Charity involved if 200 people join the event. Sonic’s birthday is on June 23rd!

Siliconera scanned the trademark database in Japan and found a listing for Valkyria Duel – a game that sound very much like another title in SEGA’s Valkyria Chronicles series.

The wild, wild west of the internet is fueled by quiet kindness (think about all of the lovely free information you get) and pure corporeal economic-based bullshit (think spam, malware, and scripts).

You may have noticed that we’ve haven’t been posting as of late but that isn’t because we don’t want too. We’ve been battling malware that likes to insert links to companies that want to sell you pills. Our focus has been on cleaning up and tightening up the back end of the site so that these automated monsters stay off the ‘Shiro yard. The war was waged on the binary domain.

We’re clean! Hooray!

We’ve got some funny surprises in store for the faithful. Both Darren and I are in new jobs which having been soaking up a fair amount of time but once the summer rolls around (think end of June) the retro reviews, the live streams, the randomness of ‘Shiro TV, the news…should be up to full steam.

This sounds pretty hilarious. Perfect for anyone who isn’t afraid of crude humour.

Nintendo has come out to support the recent rash of comments belittling the power of the Wii-U:

I have an easier suggestion to sell the machine to the common masses – HD versions and sequels of DS/DSi/3DS favorites! I’m sold.

Other than that, it really comes down to price point and the quality of the launch titles.
