Easily one of the best characters – both in terms of her abilities to fight for justice and bake delicious bread – Alicia from the first Valkyria Chronicles is now  available for pre-order in PVC form.

Alicia has been known to steal a few sighs from me – I’m still looking for my real life Alicia…I thought I met her once – but this PVC figure is downright classy compared to a lot of other ones out there. Lot of great details though it does seem to pull more from the anime than the game.

This year at Fan Expo we had the pleasure to meet a long time Sonic Fan…one that despite being a self-proclaimed as “Sonic-crazy” was really friendly and cool to talk too! Meet Kelly – she is probably one of the coolest SEGA moms you’ve ever seen.

You can see her fandom in the clothes she wore to Fan Expo…she’s got a Tails hat (that is how we spotted her), a Sonic 2 shirt, a Knuckles Hoodie, a Sonic Wallet,  a Sonic Belt buckle, hand-made Knuckles boots, and she named her son Miles. Seriously. But don’t worry his middle name is not Prower or Tails. Still, that is dedication!

Check out the video above for some cosplay shots of her as Knuckles from the OVA, her friend as Sonic, and her son as an absolutely adorable version of Tails.

Currently she is working on a Knuckles costume from Sonic Free Riders and hopes her friend will join her as well. Little Miles will also be getting a second edition of the Tails Costume as he outgrew the first one. The little guy has also taken to nicking her Sonic toys and DS! I sense a gamer-in-the-making!

In a neat moment of “oh, really…” it turn that the middleware used to power games such as 3D Dot Heroes is also used to power SEGA’s Super Dimension Neptune facial animations. The middleware allows developers to craft a 3D model from a single 2D face image.

While gamers know only a few scant details about the upcoming Japanese Yakuza PS3 title – we can all feel reassured that they have officially selected the final 7 hostesses for the game.

These ladies will be digitized and and will take part in all sorts of promotional activities for the game. The final selection was chosen by series director Toshihiro Nagoshi, producer Masayoshi Kikuchi, and Kuroda Takaya (Kazuma’s voice actor).

The web votes were taken into consideration. The ladies above are: Yuria Hayashida, Satomi Tateishi, Hina Sakuragi, Ai Sakura (top row, left to right) and  Erika Mizuhi, Yuna, Saaya Kawai (Bottom row left to right).
