Hyperdimension Neptunia MK-II – Dolphins in Plaid, Tetris, and Brain Age? HUGE Screen Slide Show

Hyperdimension Neptunia is arriving on Feb. 28 and that would be all right except that is Binary Domain playing time. The game looks to be much improved over its predecessor but I find myself a bit worried about the slog the game might present.

Yes, bright colours and tongue-in-cheek jabs at the gaming industry will serve to lighten the mood but I can’t help but feel there is less SEGA in this one. However, all that said, the screens (and boy there are a lot of them) look quite nice with send-ups of Brain Age and Tetris. Be sure to set aside time if you are going to partake in the slide show above it got over 100 screens and not one features Keiji Inafune.

Nikkei Reports that SEAMAN is Indeed Heading to the 3DS!

According to the online edition of the Nikkei magazine, SEAMAN is listed in a general report about the earnings and future prospects of Nintendo in the upcoming year. The magazine cites Nintendo’s strategy to revive other publisher’s title on the handheld to strengthen the library as well as foster third-party support.

SEAMAN creator Yoot Saito had made mention of this possibility in 2010 and now it seems to be coming to fruition. SEAMAN first launched in 1999 on the SEGA Dreamcast. The game was a sensation in Japan at the time and this would be the first time the series has ever appeared on a Nintendo console.

It is unclear if this is a new entry or a straight port…but either way more ugly man-fish with potty mouths are headed our way (well…to Japan at least).

Website Story: Hey Shiro Fans, Whatcha Playing? :)

Work, work, and more work – that is pretty much it for me currently! I’ve been so tired I haven’t even set-up the Move controllers  to play House of the Dead III. It feels like I haven’t had a whole bunch of time to actually play any games with any seriousness but I have tasted quite a few in “single hour” chunks.

Here is the run down with impressions: Read the rest of this entry »

Romeo & Cinderella Hatsune Miku Figure is a Tad Risque…

Hobby Stock is crafting Miku figures based off her original videos. This one is based off of Romeo and Cinderella by Doriko and will cost a mere ¥3939 in March (US$52). The figure definitely comes across as a bit risque as she is wearing lingerie and is quite blushed as she samples her apple but it fits in line with the original PV (check it out after the jump).

This is the fourth entry in the series of figures. You can check out the Hobby Stock website for more information or just to watch this strange Miku-cat videoRead the rest of this entry »

WTF?! Brick People Song & Dance…Uh, Thanks Japan!

I’ve wasted a decent bit of time playing Brick People on the iPod Touch. However, it seems to me it would be much better on the iPad. Anyway, enjoy this song and dance. Because it is, in fact, very song-y and dance-y.

WTF?! Wheatus’ Teenage Dirtbag Mega Drive Remix

Today I’ve been stuck inside (on a freaking Saturday) doing more off hours work than should be legal. It has led me to the dark corners of my music past as I’ve been looking for tunes to groove with while slaying the “to-do” list.

It started with some Gin Blossoms (how have I not owned a album after all these years?) but it quickly spiraled into the truly dark recesses of my teen years and that is when I found Teenage Dirtbag remixed with the Genesis sound chip. How crazy cool and geeky is that?

I used to dig that song but I sold the CD because it was the only song worth listening to on it. I may just have to buy it on iTunes. If you aren’t old enough to remember the original…be warned it is annoyingly catchy and has appeared in Generation Kill.

The music is mixed by Youtuber TheLengendofRenegade and his stuff is wicked. Check out the Mega Drive mix of Police’s Roxanne after the jump: Read the rest of this entry »

WTF?! He Can Parry His Own Fireball…

Street Fighter III player Desk can actually play himself at Street Fighter. He doesn’t just hook up two controllers and madly dash about but he can parry his own fireballs. I don’t even think I’ve ever even parried an uppercut let alone a super move (on purpose) and this guy has the ability to multi-task to “nth” degree.

Hmmm…I guess the original game has been around for quite some time…I guess he practiced. Just watch the video until the end.

WTF?! Crazy Nintendo NMA.TV Video

I don’t know about you but this video (while funny) is like a bad acid trip. Yet, it makes me very happy to be SEGA fan because it highlights how creepy Mario actually he is accosting school children with wiimotes.
